Women’s football jerseys: compare cut and measurements

Choose a women’s football shirt by its pictured cut and garment measurements rather than assuming all size labels fit alike.

Choose the shape you actually want

Start with the selected product photos and decide whether you want a close or relaxed fit. A women’s label describes a catalogue category; it does not give a universal measurement. Look at the body shape, hem and sleeves, then ask for current photos of the exact reference you are considering.

Compare with a similar shirt

Lay a shirt with your preferred fit flat without stretching it. Note the chest width and body length and photograph how you measured them. If the shirt has a shaped waist, ask for that width too. Send the measurement method along with the numbers so the comparison is meaningful.

Keep fit and decoration separate

A player name, badge or season label does not tell you how the garment fits. Confirm the reference and measured size first, then discuss printing. If you want a particular name or number, ask to see the intended placement on that garment rather than approving an unrelated example.

Make each enquiry specific

Send the individual link, preferred fit, size measurements and quantity. If you are choosing shirts for more than one person, keep their measurements on separate rows. Request current availability and a quote for the selected references and destination before deciding.

Compare shape as well as the size letter

A useful fit comparison records the same points on both shirts. Use a garment you enjoy wearing and keep it relaxed on a flat surface; note whether you are aiming for a closer or looser shape.

PointHow to record itWhat to compare
ChestStraight flat width between the agreed underarm pointsUse the same measuring points on both shirts.

HemFlat width across the bottom edgeCompare the opening, especially on a shaped shirt.
Body lengthAgreed high-shoulder point to hemCheck length separately from width.

Reading a measurement difference

Illustrative numbers only, not our size chart: your preferred shirt measures 48 cm across the chest, while a candidate measures 46 cm using the same method. The candidate is 2 cm narrower in flat width. That does not by itself tell you whether its stretch, waist or length will suit you.

Please send the same measurements, with photos showing the points used.

For an oversized look, describe the shape and length you want rather than choosing a larger letter automatically. If two people are ordering, keep two fit records even when they normally wear the same labelled size.

Common questions

Is a women’s medium the same across all references?

Do not assume so. Compare the measurements of the selected garment with a similar shirt you already own.

Can I choose a relaxed fit from this category?

Check the specific cut and measurements with the seller; the category name alone does not establish fit.

More questions about your selection

Why can two shirts with the same chest width feel different?

Their waist, hem, sleeve opening, length or material can differ. Compare the garment shape and ask about the exact item, not only one number.

Should I compare body measurements with a flat-garment size table?

Keep those two types of measurement distinct. Label your figures as body measurements or flat garment dimensions so the seller can interpret them correctly.
